Pico Mountain to Open with Operation Stay Safe to Ensure Wellbeing of Staff, Guests and Community; Parking Reservations Required this Winter
We know you're just as excited as we are to welcome winter again. Opening Day is currently projected for Saturday, December 19, weather and terrain permitting. This year is different in that our mountain operations team needs a longer cold weather window than in a typical season to prepare an adequate amount of terrain to facilitate physical distancing on the mountain. Pencil it in on your calendar for Dec. 19, but stay flexible and check the conditions report often for an official announcement.
Killington, VT, March 14, 2020 – At Pico Mountain our top priority—the health and safety of our staff, guests and local community—remains at the forefront and for this reason Pico will suspend all resort operations starting tomorrow, March 15, 2020, through March 22, 2020. We will continue to monitor the dynamic COVID-19 situation and reassess our approach for the rest of the season.
On Tuesday, March 10, The Chill Foundation brings you the Chill Takeover at Pico Mountain presented by Fat Tire. They've rented out the entire mountain for the day to celebrate snowboarding in the Northeast!
100% of the event registration fees go toward supporting Chill's local youth development programming.
